Selam Ethiopia’s ‘Culture Leads the Way’ project recently conducted an insightful event organising training at its headquarters. Spanning from December 4-6, 2023, this program catered to both seasoned event organisers and individuals eager to venture into the industry. The comprehensive training encompassed crucial aspects of event production, such as budgeting, marketing, logistics, and risk management.

Participants benefited from practical insights on event preparation through examples and exercises. The training also featured discussions on local and international experiences, enriching the learning experience for attendees.

Reflecting on their experience, participants highlighted the unique opportunity to engage, discuss, and network with professionals from diverse backgrounds in the same field. They emphasised acquiring knowledge about essential event planning, risk management, and effective prioritisation in organising events.

As a token of recognition, certificates of participation were presented to attendees upon the successful completion of the training, marking a significant step toward fostering expertise and collaboration in the event industry.
