Selam Ethiopia’s ‘Culture Leads the Way’ project successfully concluded its Music Business Training, spanning four days from November 13-16, 2023, held at Selam Ethiopia’s office. The comprehensive program catered to artists, music producers, band managers, artist managers, legal professionals in the music industry, and label owners. Attendees gained insights into Record Label, marketing, distribution and Artist management including PR, appearances, tours and live shows.

The training encompassed both international and local market dynamics, providing participants with theoretical concepts and practical examples. Following the sessions, participants engaged in group discussions and presented their strategies for real-life artist management and label operations.

Reflecting on the training, participants highlighted the opportunity to network with individuals from diverse backgrounds within the music industry. They expressed increased understanding of the international music business.

As a culmination of their efforts, certificates of participation were awarded to participants upon the completion of the training.
